Accor and Hadley’s Hotel Expand the Horizons for Business Events in Tasmania
10-May-2012 | Historic Hadley’s Hotel in the CBD of Hobart has expanded with the addition of 125 contemporary and stylish apartments, a Grand ballroom, the Stables Conference Room, and new food and beverage outlets.
The project has incorporated the original 1834 National Trust-listed hotel and the historic Cascade Brewery Stables into a new multimillion dollar development with the capacity of hosting 400 delegates. The hotel will be re-badged as the Grand Mercure Hobart Central Apartments.Accor regional manager Victoria/Tasmania/South Australia, Scott Boyes said "we are confident that the combined hotel facilities will soon become the leading venue for interstate and international conference events in Hobart".
Business Events Tasmania CEO, Stuart Nettlefold is also confident of the opportunities that the Accor Grand Mercure brand will bring the destination. "Accor is a leading operator in the meeting and conference market, which means that the hotel’s function and conference facilities will be heavily promoted throughout the Accor network in Australia and overseas.
